Affiliate Disclosure

PawPicks UK participates in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Programme, an affiliate advertising programme designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to Amazon.co.uk.

In plain English: when you click a link on this site and buy something on Amazon, we may earn a small commission. It costs you nothing extra.

How It Works

Most of the products we recommend are linked to Amazon UK. Those links contain a tracking code that tells Amazon a visitor came from PawPicks. If you buy within a qualifying window (usually 24 hours of clicking), we receive a percentage of the sale value as a referral fee.

Commission rates vary by product category. For pet food and pet supplies, the rate is typically 3–5% of the sale price. On a £50 bag of dog food, that's around £1.50–£2.50.

What This Means for Our Reviews

Our editorial decisions are completely independent of affiliate commissions. We don't:

  • Rank products higher because they have higher commission rates
  • Accept payment from brands for positive coverage
  • Accept free products in exchange for guaranteed positive reviews
  • Change our ratings or recommendations based on commercial relationships

Products are ranked based on their actual merit — meat content, ingredient quality, nutritional value, and value for money. If the best-value pick has a lower commission than a premium competitor, we still put it in the top spot.

We believe transparency here matters. If you distrust our objectivity, that's entirely reasonable — we'd encourage you to read the ingredient labels yourself and form your own view. We'll always tell you what to look for so you can do exactly that.

Other Affiliate Programmes

We may occasionally link to pet food retailers other than Amazon (such as direct brand websites or Pets at Home). Where those links are affiliate links, we'll make that clear in the relevant article.

Currently, our primary affiliate relationship is with Amazon UK.

Cookies and Tracking

When you click an affiliate link, Amazon may set cookies on your device for tracking purposes. PawPicks itself does not set any first-party cookies — we have no analytics, no tracking pixels, and no advertising on this site. See our Privacy Policy for more detail.
